  • Learners under 18 need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms on their behalf.
  • Your account is personal. Please do not share your login or copy our content.
  • Coleske helps you study, but we cannot guarantee exam results.

01Who we are

These terms apply to your use of the Coleske Education website (coleskeeducation.co.za) and learning platform (app.coleskeeducation.co.za), together called the Platform. The Platform is provided by Coleske Education (Pty) Ltd, a South African company (“Coleske”, “we”, “us”).

02Accepting these terms

By creating an account, buying a plan or using the Platform, you agree to these terms, our Delivery Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

03Who can use Coleske

Coleske is designed for high-school learners, so many of our users are under 18.

  • Learners under 18 may only use the Platform with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account for, or paying on behalf of, a learner under 18, you confirm that you are that learner's parent or guardian and that you accept these terms for them.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for the payments made for their child's plan and for supervising their child's use of the Platform.
  • You must give us accurate information when you sign up.

04Your account

  • Your account is for one learner only. Please do not share your login details or let others use your account.
  • Your account can be used on a limited number of devices (currently up to 3 devices, and 2 at the same time). You can sign out or remove your own devices in the app.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
  • If you think someone else has accessed your account, email us at coleske.tutoring@gmail.com straight away.

05Plans and payment

Coleske offers a Free plan and paid plans (currently Standard and Premium). What each plan includes, and its current price, is shown on our pricing section and at checkout.

  • Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where VAT applies.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance.
  • Payments are processed securely by PayFast. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Your paid access starts once PayFast confirms your payment. See our Delivery Policy for details.
  • If we change a price, we will tell you before the change applies to you: at least 30 days before, for a price increase. A price change will not affect a month you have already paid for.
  • Content marked “coming soon” or “in progress” (for example, additional subjects) is not included in a plan until it is released.

06Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel your paid plan at any time. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. Our full cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

07Using the platform

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform for your own study. In return, you agree that you will not:

  • share, sell or lend your account, or let more than one person use it;
  • copy, download (other than the downloads we offer, such as worksheets), record, screen-capture, redistribute or resell our videos, notes, quizzes, worksheets or other content;
  • try to access answers, other users' data, or parts of the Platform you are not meant to see, or interfere with how the Platform works;
  • use bots, scrapers or automated tools on the Platform;
  • post anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights.

08Our content

All lesson videos, notes, worksheets, quizzes, question banks, graphics, the Coleske name and logo, and the Platform itself belong to Coleske Education (Pty) Ltd or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Buying a plan gives you the right to use them as set out in these terms. It does not transfer ownership to you.

Our content follows the CAPS curriculum and DBE examination guidelines. CAPS documents and past examination papers belong to the Department of Basic Education.

09Reviews, questions and comments

Some parts of the Platform let you post reviews, ask questions or leave comments. When you do, you confirm that what you post is your own, is respectful and is not unlawful.

You give us permission to display what you post on the Platform (and, for reviews, in our marketing, without using your surname or contact details). We may remove any post that breaks these terms. Questions and answers in the Q&A feature are only available on plans that include it.

10No guarantee of results

We work hard to make our content accurate, CAPS-aligned and easy to understand. However, how well you do in tests and examinations depends on many things, including your own effort. We do not promise any particular mark, pass or outcome.

11Availability

We aim to keep the Platform available at all times, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and things outside our control (such as internet or power outages, or problems with our hosting or payment providers) can affect access. You are responsible for your own device and internet connection.

12Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other South African law that cannot be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, and as far as the law allows, Coleske is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

13Your personal information

We collect and use personal information (such as your name, email address, grade, and learning progress) so that we can provide the Platform. We handle it in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We use PayFast to process payments and we do not store your full card details.

Because many learners are children, we only process a child's information with the consent of a parent or guardian. To ask about, correct or delete your information, email coleske.tutoring@gmail.com.

14Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, with or without notice, if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken (for example, account sharing or copying our content), or if we are required to by law. If we close a paid account without good reason, we will refund the unused part of the month you have paid for.

You can close your account at any time by emailing coleske.tutoring@gmail.com.

15Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add new features. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell you by email or on the Platform. If you keep using the Platform after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

16Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, either of us may approach the courts of South Africa. Nothing here prevents you from approaching the National Consumer Commission or another body you are entitled to approach.
